You are what you eat, really look at what you are eating you can run and exercise till the cows go over the moon and it will help a little but your food intake really matters more. Look at it this way food is fuel for the body nothing more, you wouldnt want to put crappy gas in your TACO so why would you want to eat it? Look at the regular American meal, you have a big portion of meat, smaller portion of starch and vegetables. What it SUPPOSED to look like is a large amount of vegetables and smaller everything else, its hard to eat that way but it is the way our body supposed to re fuel.

Diet pills are expensive and some are actually dangerous to you, simple changes in your life and eating habits are the way to go, much safer and in some cases much cheaper, you can do it...

I feel your pain op. I'm 21 about 5'8 and 264lbs now. I was at 315 junior year of high school, the center for my hs football team, and senior year of high school I finally decided I'm cutting weight. eating right, lifting a lot of weights and doing a lot of cardio got me into the 220's the month I graduated. College came around, I got a new girlfriend, started working nights, and put on 60 pounds. So my junior year of college at about 280 I again was saying I have to do something! This time around is a lot harder than it was back in high school and I'm not sure why. I tried all kinds of diets that never really worked. I even considered doing the lap band surgery.

Now, what is working for me, two days of lifting and at least forty minutes of cardio before or after the lift and one day off (so 2 on 1 off schedule) has been getting me some results. Hard though, REAL HARD lifting and cardio. I got a heart rate monitor to keep heart rate elevated to at least 150 BPM during the lift, and in the 165-180 range for the cardio. This also helps you keep track of how many calories your burning.

Also, one of the biggest things that is really helping me realize how shitty I've been eating is WeightWatchers. I know it sounds kind of fruitty or whatever, but it actually feels like a good program that works. Its like 20 or 30 bucks a month (actually I think I signed up for 3 months of it for 50 bucks), and it comes with a lot of tools that help you track what you are eating, track your physical activity, and it really does help you change the eating habits. Also the good thing about it is you don't have to cut anything out. Just stay within your allotted points for the day and you WILL lose something.

I feel your pain man, I been heavy forever, shit I was born heavy (over 10 pounds lol)! Just look for something that works for you. WeightWatchers may be a good tool to look into, majority of it is really what and how you eat.

I have dropped 60lbs this last year...5'8", 190lbs and just moved down into 34" jeans with NO muffin top.

I had to get a physical problem straigtened out (gastric reflux causing a bleeding ulcer and I was eating to stop the pain), and went on a low fat, medium carb and high protein diet.

You need to measure calories going in AND calories going out. Calories going in is easy, read the labels and watch your portions, calories going out is a little more difficult but this link, http://sites.google.com/site/compendiumofphysicalactivities/ is a guide to how many calories each activities burn by hour AND body weight. I burn between 3,300 and 4,000 calories a DAY on my normal activities.

Good luck and ping me for help.

Like everyone's been saying it's all about diet. Not going on a diet but just watching what you eat. The timing of when you eat what you eat also can play a part in it. Try to get most of your carbs in from breakfast and lunch, and taper off through the day. Small meals throughout the day will keep the body burning, and just being strict about it.

Give yourself a day a week at first, and then cut back to a meal on that day, to cheat and keep yourself sane.

No pill will make you lose weight... OxyElite Pro has been a great supplement for a little bit of energy (made me happy as hell at first) and curbs the hunger feeling. But that's about it.. on bodybuilding.com you'll see MANY people saying it's a good supplement. But wont just make pounds fly off.

If you've changed your diet before and didn't see results you may want to go to a doctor and get your thyroid checked. Eating better should always show some results.
And that doesn't mean starve yourself or only eat chicken and rice. It's eating less calories than you burn in the day.

I have a HUGE problem of not eating. I've hit a Plataea where I wont change at all because my idiot self can't remember to eat! On the plus side when I do eat it doesn't matter what I eat since I never reach ANY of my goals as far as calories/protein/fiber/sugar ect goes.
I much rather be getting my goals and eating normal good for you foods (I love me some chicken!) I just can't get my butt in gear to get 'er done.
Although the picture I put as the background of my phone helps.. my ideal body type.. insanely good looking woman!!!!

Here's a link to help get you started on what I suggested. It's gnarly shit, so make sure it's what you wanna do. http://www.hotnfit.com/ecstack.htm

Best part is, it only cost you about $15 and you will lose weight.

Xenadrine works for me. I just got off a cycle yesterday. I lost 37 lbs between Oct 5 and today as part of a weight loss challenge at work. It's not healthy for you, but neither is being 100 lbs overweight. I ate right (and very little), ran 4-5 times per week and took xenadrine. It's basically tea extract which is just a source of caffeine.

Weight loss challenges help as well. For instance, Get 4 or 5 chunky buddies together and challenge them to lose 10% in 100 days. At the end of the 100 days, everyone who didn't lose the 10% owes ((current weight - goal weight)*$3) to the winner. It's a good motivator.

End of senior year in high school i weighted 275 at about 5'9. I WAS A BALL. I couldnt walk up stairs without breathing like tornado. Went and picked up a bottle of hydroxicut back when it had the good stuff in it before it got banned and they made a new "healthier" version. That along with exercise and a controlled diet dropped me down to about 215-220 in about a 12-14 months. By healthy eating i mean the following. Breakfast has to be the biggest meal of your day. I ate every 3 hours but small portions of protein rich snacks/foods and didnt eat after 7pm. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF BECAUSE YOU WILL GAIN THE WEIGHT BACK JUST AS FAST AND YOU LOOSE IT. Eating healthy alone wont cut it though. You have to exercise with it as well and remember to always give yourself that 1 cheat/rest day in the week.
