Thanks, I dig em can't wait to see how they wheel.

I'm looking forward to ski season as well but I got plenty of projects to get done before it's riding time.

I need to look at the dates you have posted and look at a calendar but I would be in to wheel Moab. Thanks for letting me know.

Saturday I went ahead and reworked my cab mounts, and put the wheel spacers back on.

I plan to round out and angle the corners nearest the tires I wanted to leave an opening big enough that I could still get the large body mount washers back in. That changed on Sunday when I started putting the 1" body lift on. The majority of it went on in about six hours, but getting my body and CBI bumpers to line up the way I want has taken a little more work than expected. It seems like the cab of the truck has always been a little more offset to he drivers side about a 1/4" so trying to shift it over has been a pain in the ass. There has also been time involved in pulling the twinsticks and doing a little modding to them to make them fit in the interim until the rest of the junk sitting on the bench ends up in the truck.

Couple of pics of the work in progress....

The rear should be very simple to close the gaps

Are you happy with the OME lift or would you go a different route if you did it again? Or plans on upgrading. Just collecting info.

I'm happy with the OME lift it is simple cost effective and low to non existant on maintenance. When I do upgrade it will be with a solid front axle but the OME will do until that time.

Thanks, I did not have to extend any lines it does have radiator drop brackets other that it was just pucks and shuffling bolts and washers around to make it all work.

man JW those new tires look HUGE! and AWESOME!

I cant begin to explain how lucky you are to live where you have access to all that terrain. Your truck is literally built for what you can easily get too. Where as my truck is being built for what I hope to someday have easier access too.

Thanks, this is a pretty good place to live.

I did not really take any pics of the install. I used these write-ups to help me get through it.
    http://www.parksoffroad.com/tacomamods/rb1inchbl/rb1bl.htm

    http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Docs/BodyLift_HowTo.shtml

The install for the bed is simple pull the 6 bolts re-use 4 and use 2 leftover bolts from the cab. I used a 3/4" piece of scrap aluminum block with a hole in for the gas tank tube remember to remove the gas cap prior lifting the bed. To lift the bed I used a 3 1/2 ft piece of pipe leveraged off the tire to lift the bed and slid the pucks in (one side at a time with the bolts just loosened on the opposite side.

For the Cab you have to pull the 4 corners of the carpet up (this part eats up a bunch of time I hate pulling interiors apart) and get to the bolt heads so you can get them out to replace them and reuse the washers. To lift the body I used a floor jack and a 1 ft block off a 4x4 so that I did not have to take the sliders off. To get to the front body mounts and radiator I pulled the grill. The process is time consuming so plan a weekend to get it all done without killing yourself.

    Thanks

Not yet, I'm working that direction but needed the BL to give myself extra room to clock the transfer case I'm hoping to get 15* degrees to get it at or above the frame rails. I am going to wait until after Halloween to get started on that install.

Thanks for the comments, always glad to help folks out.

On Saturday I hade a little time in the afternoon to work on a set of front skirts to close up the gap on the front bumper. I used a 36" mud flap to make them and like the way they turned out.

    The gap

Made one then flipped it over and just reversed and traced it to make the passenger side.

The nice thing with pyrite is the colors blend pretty well, this is a pic from this afternoon in one of the canyons near the house.
