iphone stuck on emergency call HELP!!!

So outta no where, my iphone 4 decides to lock on the emergency call screen. It also says no service.

When I restart the phone it says activation required. I like the home button and it goes to emergency call screen. If I hit the lock button and open up the iphone the screen says, Choose wifi. I did. Then it says press next to activate. I click activate and it says unable to activate please try again. Please help. It was working fine.

I have ATT

 

check to make sure your SIM card is pushed in all the way. I have the old iPhone and mine does that sometimes if the SIM card isn't in all the way

 

Try restoring it through itunes, if that doesnt work, Trip to the AT&T or apple store

 

Just took it out and put it back in.Still no luck Thanks!

Yeah, I'd try the restore. Hope it works!

 

If that doesn't work try a hard reset. You do this by holding the lock button and home button together for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work and restoring it doesn't take it in.

 

Tried that too. I dont know what it could be. still waiting on the restore. It says 2 hours

 

Have you updated your phone in the past 2 weeks? I know there was a HUGE update with over 200 new features.

 

Ya I had the ios5 on it. Pretty cool

 

Wonder of its just a glitch with the system. I blame Steve Jobs death.
