I just got it back from being rearended. 2 weeks ago today.. This thing is cursed. Don't know if Allstate will raise out rates, so migth be cheaper in the long run to cough up the cash. Safelite is coming in the morn to put a new one in for me. I just need to make sure to get all the damn glass shards off the leathers seats and all.

At least shes okay. I had to get my windshield replaced a few months back after taking a rock on the American Legion Bridge. Paid for in it cash as it was slightly cheaper than my deductible

Glad she keep the car under control and everyone is okay.

Lucky she did not get hurt or so startled that she lost control of the car. My husband was on the freeway and the windshield got shot out. Apparently there were kids on the hill shooting out the windows of several cars on the freeway that week.

I am not representing any insurance company in particular at this moment, with this post. For personal use only and any inquires should be directed to your insurance company/agent. Blah. Ahem ,a cracked windshield ought to be considered a comprehensive claim (sometimes referred to as "other than collision." Compresensive claims do not affect your rates. However, any deductible you have for comprehensive coverage will be applicable. However, if your comprehensive deductible is say $500, you can still probably get a windshield for under this amount. Again, I am not representing any insurance company, and please refer to your company/agent. Plus, it's after 5pm and work is over...:)

safelite came out and replaced the winshield for me yesterday and the guy said that he would have thought it was a golf ball that hit the windshield. The only thing we found was glass everywhere. I was pulling glass out of the seat, sucks because the seats are leather and not we have some cuts in them. but Dawn was not seriously injured, shaken up but not hurt..

Good luck trying to find a winshield for under 300 bucks for a 08 Dodge Charger RS. I hink it was a fair price. I paid 378.99 for a new winshield and the gentle man removed, cleaned , and installed a new one, with a 3 year warranty.

No joke... that looks like a rock thrown to the car. I hoped you at least filed a report with the local police department. If there is a series of these occurring in your city, they'd want to know about it.
Glad she's ok man and everything worked out fine. Just don't turn a blind eye on what could have been. You got pictures. Use those and let the police department know about it. Take care.
