Trade in or sell for taco or tundra?

So I received a letter today from local toyota dealer. They are offering UP TO $22,530.00 for clean trade in on my 09 access cab prerunner with 25k miles. Average trade in UP TO $21,080.00. I have babied the hell outta this truck so I would hope to get clean trade in value. I have a 1 month old baby boy who's car seat will not work comfortably for the driver ( ME ) in this small cab so going to a double cab seems like the ideal choice here. 4x4 DCSB Trd Sport is listed at $32,700, ( unsure if that's a good deal or not ). I really love the tacoma but with the incentive on 2011 tundras right now I'm almost tempted because I'd probably end up spending the same amount for a full size truck vs 2012 Tacoma.
As it stands if I went with the 12 Tacoma with trade in, I'm looking at about $170.00-$180.00/month payment @ 0% for 60 months.
I honestly don't think I could sell my taco privately for that much. Should I jump on the dealer trade in if only for clean value or be happy with average value? What ya think is the lowest I could bring em down on the new 12?

 

If they're going to pay top dollar for your trade in, you're going to pay top dollar on the new truck. I'd imagine the trade in price is only if you pay full pop? but give them a call and find out.

 

I will trade u the grill emblem for mine if you trade in the truck.

 

For stock emblem?

I would need to decide what to pull off the truck too if I decide to trade in and having dealer swap my wheels & tires onto new truck.

 

If you can get clean value, and maybe talk them down a bit, go for It. I had an 06 access cab and now have a 09 double cab... I regret not getting a double cab to begin with. you will like It so much more and make life so much easier.

 

Just left dealer and was between this truck and 2012 Tacoma. They only offered me $19k for my truck. I wasn't settled so I left. As I was leaving they offered me $21k. I still bounced.

 

I did finally see the new nautical blue. I just wasn't feeling it unfortunately. My two favorite tacomas were the black and white. I just don't think if I wanna buy another black truck. They are a pain in the ass to keep clean!!

 

White Double Cab FTW man! i am a little biased tho. lol

Very nice truck! I'm kinda regretting not getting the TRD Sport instead of the TRD Off-Road. I'm really digging that hood scoop with the new front end.

 

Yeah I know.. but I like the way it looks lol. And the truck comes with the towing package up to like 6500lbs.. my truck can only tow I think like 3500lbs.. not that it matters lol I don't have anything to tow.... yet..
