Alright guys, so I got my lift all installed (5100's up front, Expo's in the rear), and I need a longer BPV for sure. I got about 4" inches in the rear of lift. So will I need a longer BPV kit than toytec offers? I know BeefedTaco makes some, but I'm not sure which one to get. And no, I don't have tools to make my own.
    Thanks all.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
The Toytec one looks flimsy that's why I didn't buy one and made my own. I haven't seen the BEEFED yet but all of his stuff is BEEF so out of the two I would go BEEF it's what's for dinner :D or I can just make you one if you want to but one from me ;)

    that's a bit high...

if you are running 3" up front, you typically want 1.5" to 1.75" in rear to sit level...

4" rear lift usually levels out with a 6" front lift...

only reason i bring that up, is if you ever need to swap out shocks, and give that kind of measurement to the vendor, they may send you shocks that will end having too much travel and thus be too long for your application...

plus, for the BPV, you don't want to put one that is designed for a 4" lift when you only have 1.5" to 1.75" more travel... that rear brake is going to slam on you if you so much as blow air on it... haha...

What do you mean? I have the same setup as JLee, 5150's in the rear... I don't see what's wrong with it, I actually haul shit and needed leafs that can hold it... I don't care if it's not level... I'm sure JLee can chime in on it too, and he's a very distinguished TW member, I wouldn't go bashing his setup.

whoa, no need to get defensive...

    i wasn't bashing anyone...

i guess im not distinguished... what do i know, right?

Don't get your panties in a bunch, I'm still pulling mine out of my ass :D.

I know you are "distinguished", and I'd trust your opinion. I should have told you that I had 5150's in the rear.

But why no BPV for 4"? I was told to have as much extended BPV as you do lift, makes sense, right? Huh...

    im just messin with ya...

i didn't mean you don't need the BPV, i just wanted to make sure you didn't get one that would end up too long... i know someone who got a leaf pack that was a 1.75" but sold as a 3" total lift package with the front end, so when he went and got a BPV, he told them his rear leaf packs were a 3" lift and not 1.75"

so we installed it, and when he came to his first stop sign, it was... an interesting stop which the car behind us did NOT appreciate too much... hahahah

but if you are getting the same one that Jerry is already using, then you should be good to go...
