    Hey folks,

I'm new to this forum but not new to Toyota trucks. I started driving a 1979 Toyota pickup; after high school, I got a 1990 Toyota pickup. I currently have a F-350 King Ranch with the 6.4 turbo diesel. I do like it and the towing/hauling capacity but I don't like the price of fuel combined with the MPG I am getting.

I've been lurking around for a few weeks trying to gather info on what options I want in the Tacoma I plan to get. So far I have read lots of opinions that have helped me narrow down my choices. At the moment, I am planning to order a 2012 TRD OR with the T/X pro package. It comes with most of the options I want and I will eventually decide on the rest.

Well, I stopped by the stealership yesterday armed with some knowledge and squeezed the sales rep until I got what I wanted at a price I felt was fair enough. I now have a white T/X Pro on order.

Thanks to everyone for helping me decide what I wanted.

Well, I ordered a T/X pro back in late Oct. I got tired of waiting for it so I drove by the dealership. I saw another truck I liked (a sport) and stopped to discuss how much longer it would take to get my truck and to ask about the one I just saw. I originally ordered the off road because of the locker, theT/X pro part, I liked both additions. I debated and decided I can add all that stuff myself.

As it turned out, I got the one I saw on the lot. I think I will come out with a more reliable vehicle and I still get the hood scoop and painted mirrors/rear bumper that I regretted when I was going with the other truck. I got an even better deal, $500 over invoice before the military rebate. So I actually ended up getting it for $500 under invoice. I'm happy and my wife likes the pyrite mica color much better than the white truck I wanted initially.

Here is the short and skinny, I'm a happy new truck owner and my wife feels she had a part of the decision process. I saved some money so now I get to go shopping for mods. I'll get some pics up soon, even though for now, they will be boring stock vehicle pics.
