What do you guys think of added effects as in my photos above?

Are you against them or for them in moderation?

^^ I think it all depends on what you're going for...

I usually end up adding some kind of filters or editing to my photos for fun or just to add a twist

So for photography as a hobby i have no problem with it at all... now editorial or professional work is another matter

    ^^^

Ok guys, got a question, Im looking to upgrade my camera body. And Im torn between the Canon 50D and 60D. Both have features that I like that the other doesn't have. As some of you know I do a lot of shooting for the local newspaper for sports and really need to upgrade for better FPS and ISO quality. I really like the thought of having video with the 60D but Im not a huge fan on the articulating screen that it offers. It has a higher MP count, which isn't that big of deal. On the other hand the 50D has a slightly higher FPS and has the flash plug up that the 60D does not have. (dunno if i'll ever use it but at school we have to equipment for strobes that I could borrow at any time). I've seen some sports pictures taken with a 60D and they looked pretty good. And I've heard the 60D has a better ISO quality but Im unsure of that.

I just need something to stand out that will be better than the other in the long run for me. Im just not sure which one would be the better bet for me. I can get either one for around the same price (within $30 of each other) brand new.

Also another plus on the 50D is that it takes the CF card instead of the SD.

x3 on a 7d...if your photography keeps expanding which i think it will your probably better off saving for the 7d. and yeah i think the 7d is more like the d300s and 60d is like the d7000 im not exactly sure ive never really thoroughly examined the specs
