I feel like us 1st gen guys have less mods and just less going on in general.
we should have MORE mods and diy's because we've had our trucks longer.
i'm just throwing this out there because i have nothing else to do.
anyone else ever sand the grill surround? mine was chrome so i took 400 grit sandpaper to it and it gave it a beautiful brushed aluminum look.
I also found out that in the ext cab the back rest in the back seats is just a piece of wood, i think i'm going to take mine off and cut it in half to make two seperate rests and then i can put a sub box in there a bit better.
ok done. if your at home bored today like me, tell us some little stuff you've done to make your tacoma "yours"

question... if i were to try and do the clear corners myself, is the amber part removable??? i plan on opening my headlights up to see if there is anything to black out (not much extra chrome like the 2nd gens) but a little would look cool... i also need to redo some of the silicon seal because i'm getting some moisture in there

if i take the amber out do i need to replace it with an amber bulb like in the hazard lights?

on the first gens.......the corners, you cant really remove the amber lens..............there will be a hole there since its kinda made into the light. you can get clear corners on ebay tho, round $25 or so.

yea i looked at removing them too but i dont think it's gona work. dud122, if you get the clear corners i'll take the amber ones off your hands. let me know and we'll work out a price.
the corner can be clear but if your using it as a blinker you need an amber blinker bulb.

    pittim... awesome

i'll look on ebay for clear corners... i'm assuming they won't come with bulbs so i'll get these stealth ones.

then.... is there a way to turn the hazard lights into fog lights and wire the directionals to be hazards too?

i was gonna make my marker lights into turn signals, and my turn signals into fog lights, but that was gonna be a ton of work...................cant use the current turn signals for fogs.........the bulb socket is way too small, and it can take the heat from a fog lamp either.
