Scosche Replacement Antenna

Well I took my stock antenna off like many others on here because it would hit the top of my garage when parking. I dont listen to the radio much but when I do it has horrible static, to me its more of how my truck looks without an antenna .
So while at walmart lastnight I made my way over to the automotive dept just to look around and saw this. Its a complete antenna replacement set but all I needed was the main mast. It comes complete with several adapters to make it fit. So for $8.44 I thought i'd give it a try. Its worked great! Drove my truck this morning with the radio only just to see how it works and ive had great reception all morning.

The antenna is 13" long and flexes pretty well.

Just thought I'd share this out there for you guys looking to get a shorter antenna that will fit in your garage for a decent price.

I like the way this antenna looked so I bought it. I didn't realize how flexible this thing was until I got it out of the package and I was skeptical if I would like it, but I put it on and took it for a drive down the highway. First thing I noticed was that it lost some signal for a couple of my favorite stations, they had a lot of static and couldn't listen clearly but the majority of them worked ok. Then I looked out my window and saw the antenna, lol. I'm not a fan of my antenna leaning at a 45 degree angle and having it wobble around a lot, but this may good for those of you who off road since it flexes so much, but I didn't like it so I put the stock antenna back on for now till I figure something else out. Probly just cut the stock one down to the size I want.

 

our 13" eurostyle antenna does not flex that much as we use a more harder rubber.
