Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Nope. junk. waste of money. You'd get more performance buying a bag of doritos and farting in the gas tank.

I'm over it. I saw one for $4300, but that's a waste of money for the end result. I'd probably have to put that much, if not more money into the suspension, rims & tires, and the exhaust. Plus, the bulk of the computer/chip set is not very compact. I'm trying to roll low-key. Sleeper style...

those were some great, insightful answers to his question, which happens to likely be the same as others on the site. I didn't buy my jap taco for that purpose. I was hoping to use it to get better MPG, and still move the "smaller" items in my world. I would like to know a way to extract some more power, and MPG outa this baby-boy truck ...without turbo/super fuel infected, diesel afterburner BS investment...I already spent $20K on this POS! I shoulda done more research! Mazda/Ranger supposedly gets better MPG,and has a little more power/payload ...plus they are known for similar reliabilty... just sayin

He wants the mythical combination of more horsepower and better fuel economy.

Sounds like someone wants to bitch about their baby-boy POS truck.... just sayin'

Those performance chips kick ass, minimum 15hp and at least 4mpg, check my sig, I went from 21 to 30 mpg with one.

That actually was helpful. If I had my '68 GTO still, I wouldn't be having this discussion, it would've already been done. But, my taco is 1yr. old and has 3k mi. on it, and cost me $18k with everything but bluetooth. Looks like intake & exhaust are the winners, along with some wider tires. Now all I need is a job to pay for 'em...
    Plus, if I'd really wanted a race truck I would've bought a V8 Tundra or a V10 Ram...

Where can I buy dorito fart in a can to add to my gas tank? Do doritos help with the farting performance gains or do non-dorito farts work too?

Finally a cheap power mod that works!

Dude, get a grip, you obviously don't realize your throttle body restricts the flow by around 75% or better while you are cruising down the road even at 80mph. Some fixed piece of metal prior to that throttle body CAN'T improve the flow that lasts through a flat plate choking the motor.

And how the fuck can you run at lower rpms with a manual transmission at the same speed? Since you must be driving slower it makes total sense you are using less fuel, because that the only way you can be running lower rpms.

A turbo on the other hand can make more power, since it increases pressure along with fuel on BOTH sides of the throttle body.

Your ingnorance is glaringly obvious.

Many have done dyno test only to repeatedly find NOTHING.

Just said it, turbo works, tornado doesn't, can't run lower rpm with manual unless you drive slower.

    What don't you get?
