Why did you pick your name?

my initials and last name. kinda boring but easy to remember

BTW, lsocoee, i alswyas thought that it was 'i'socoee, never noticed it was a lower case "L"

 

Maverick was my fraternity nickname (I was the only member of my pledge class that actually finished pledging and or made it in) (That at I had a propensity for quoting lines from Top Gun back in those days)

491 was my number on my car on street nights at the local drag strip back in my younger and more foolish days.

 

I live in Charlottesville, Va and am a motorcycle guy. Built my first chopper several years ago and created my user name on the Honda SOHC4 forum just as I was starting on the project. Those were days (and nights) of a cramped 6x10 basement with very little ventilation and long hours of grinding, cutting, welding, re-grinding, re-cutting, re-welding, etc. I've calmed down a bit since then, but still get out on 2 wheels whenever the weather allows.

I've raced dirtbikes since i was about 7. Unfortunately I don't have a bike currently. I feel neglected. I'm gonna go complain on Oprah.

I am a senior tech in the QC dept. for a concrete company, one day a contractor was having a difficult time trying to accomplish the task at hand with a peticular concrete mix he had ordered. A phone call was made and I went to see him, with approval of the resident engineer, I developed a mix that would suit his needs and he was back in business that afternoon, he was so happy and the engineer was so impressed that they named me the concrete jedi, and it stuck. To be honest, all I did was tweak an existing mix I had in the computer, but it worked well.

I think mine is pretty self explanatory: Toyota for life.....I like Toyotas....yeah, even the little economy ones.

 

For many years I worked on my FD's Heavy Rescue,or "the Squad" as it's called.314 is my personel number.( I'm currently assigned to an Engine company,which I love,but I ain't changin' ).I belong to about four forums and it's my name at all of them.

 

I consider myself just a regular "Joe" but I procrastinate A LOT so I'm kinda "Pathetic".

 

Long story short..... Many many years ago in Virginia, I partied with a bunch of co-workers. One co-worker was especially *different* from the rest of us. He was a born/bred southern country boy and had an outward way of expressing himself. He'd yell "LORDY LORDY LORDY!!!" when he was drunk....and do many other things that made us laugh hysterically. His name was Bucky and after several years, we simply called our partying behavior as "Buckmania". Everyone in the group had a nickname....

Other than myself, there was a Jeffster, Marester, Michellester, Donster, etc.

I'll never forget those days....good times.

I have the username of 007Tacoma on TundraSolutions.com, CustomTacos.com, ToyotaNation.com, TTORA.com, and RAV4World.com. Tacoma World is still my favorite!

I have the username of DragonDiesel on ToyotaDiesel.com and the username of TDIDragon on TDIClub.com. The Dragon part comes from the fact that I used to have nightmares about dragons as a little kid. Of course, I was always the hero in those.

 

Since, 007 has officially blessed this thread and I wasn't on the board when he started his last one, I feel safe to answer now. I have a woodworking hobby that shares space in the garage with the Tacoma. Seems like it always gets parked on top of a layer of sawdust 'cause I'm not so good and cleaning up.
