    Hey guys,
Since it's hard for me to do trail runs on Saturdays, I thought I'd try and put one together for Sunday in or around Alpine or farther East. Something similar to Pine Valley but not exactly that trail. I saw a trail on the other side of the freeway at the Buckman springs exit. Anyone know if its a fun doable trail? I'm open for suggestions. I'd even go as far east as Ocotillo.
    Anyone else down?

I'm open for suggestions. I just want to hit up some trails without making it a camping trip. Looking to start around 10AM. Enough time to wake up from a hang over. :D

Ok, I saw your reply to my question in the SD thread... I think I will pass because I am way up in Oceanside... and was hoping for something a bit closer, like maybe the Welk Run (Panda Jerk's Drug Airport)?

Have a fun time, take photos!

How is the Welk Run? Never been to it. It looked too short. Loop?

hey Al, the trail you speak of is really short (goes up to locked gate) about 2 miles tops, if you take the Buckman offramp & turn left , go under the freeway & continue up dirt road to the glider port fun little road, beautiful view

Sweet. Good to know. I was also looking at Google for trails around the lake where Anderson Truck trail is at. On an exploration mode tomorrow. Just didn't want to get stuck and then call on TW to get pulled out. Sound familiar? haha.

Last time with Toucan, we didn't get very deep into it (he had a Sport, and wasn't confident without a locker or A-TRAC to go beyond the steep drop)... See those photos plus scroll down and see the satellite maps I did of the trail system in there... I will post some other links, too:

Yuppers. I was just checking it out too. I'm a PreRunner with no locker as well. Although I'm lifted with larger tires, I don't know if I could make it down the steep or even back up it. Opinion? Looks like fun. By the looks of it, I could end up on Twins Peaks if I just keep going West. Would you be down for this tomorrow?

I'm meeting Ron at his place at 9AM. From there we should be at the trail head by 10AM for sure. Probably is we don't have a trail picked out yet. Debating between this trail mentioned above (Welk run) and heading East towards Pine Valley. The option we're considering is OTAY truck trail towards Campo.

Ill post again here tonight about tomorrow. I don't think we'll do OTAY only because I'm headed to Poway to pick Ron up. So its either more North or East.

Anyone want to chime in on Foster Truck trail, Featurestone to El Capitan Truck trail, or any others out in that area. Even Ramona would be sweet again but not necessarily the one I did last time (for those who know which one I did - passing the landfill).
