    1988 Toyota 4runner 4x4.

    Good:
    running 3.0. not sure of miliage.
    tranny shifts fine.
    tcase shifts fine.
    No rust on body.
    No rust on frame. (looks really nice underneath)
    Interior is good.
    removable top.
    Newish paint.
    Some reciepts.
    Recent head work. (no reciepts but it looks to be a new head on the drv side)
    Just switched to royal purple full synth. Engine oil, front and rear diffs, tranny and tcase. About 100 miles on it.
    4:10 gears?



    Bad:
    Coolant leak started saturday. Looks like it's coming from the rear of the block. It's leaking onto the tranny. I have checked the engine oil and it looks clean, not frothy or watery. Will try and look at it this weekend.
    Gas guage no worky, speedo no worky, dash lights no worky. Could be fuses, havn't checked.
    Could probably use shocks.
    Interior smells like a 23 yr old vehicle.
    Some squeeks, rattles, typical old vehicle.
    Broke one of the bolts off in the top.
    Rear stripes are painted black, front and hood stripes still...uhh....whatever color that is.
    Shifter seems a little loose, could be typical. I don't know.
    31/10.50/15 mud kings with 70% tread or better.




    This 4runner is solid and uncut. Just needs some tlc and someone with more knowledge than I.

    I have a factory full bottom trussed "85" strait axle to go with it. Not sure of the condition as I have not had it apart yet. Minus locking hubs.
    I'll try and get interior pics up this week. Also if there are any specific pics you need, just ask.

    Should be as reliable as the average 23 year old truck. If I had time and money for another vehicle I'd rock it for awhile and then swap a 3.4 v6 into it. Easiest swap there is from what I have heard.

    The 3.4 is a good choice for a swap. If this 3.slow ever fails and it doesnt sell, it might get one.
    Got a buddy tryin to sell one with a 5.0 in it.
