went wheelin for my first time today in my taco

finally got the nads to take my new truck off-road today in a little spot down the road...bone stock 2011 dcsb trd offroad...truck did pretty good the locker came in handy stock tires did ok but letme down in the deap sand and need a lift







went well except i tryed to go over a hill/jump thing that my budy went over in his blazer and i bottumed out and he had to pull me off....one tiff with toyota y would u make the cross over pipe lower then the cross member now it is dented with 9,000 miles on the truck

yea tires and im getting the rear leaf tsb done soon so im gonna get the 5100's and level it out......i wanna do the general grabbers how good r they off road

 

Depends on your terrain. I have no personal experience with them. I suggest do your research. Don't pick the coolest, or most aggressive tire. Get the one that suits you the best. If your on the road allot get an all terrain.

 

These will help when you go for the TSB. Make sure you do the TSB prior to uprgrading to 5100's.

 

The rugged trails have a wide contact patch but no depth. They are wider than 265/75's ya who of thunk it. Im going taller but thinner 255/85/16, coopers not BFG MUDS. The coopers are .4" wider tred .5" thinner sidewalls than the BFG'S and a AT. hope they work.

looks like you had fun! i remember the first time i took mine offroad. couple weeks after buying it. went on a trail down the road from my girlfriends house. had it buried to the frame in mud and got stuck (going froward atleast) not gonna lie i freaked out a little and then realized i could just back outa the mud

 

I did the same thing way back in the early 80's figed snow and mud are not the same

 

You should remove your mud flaps before they scratch the paint where they are mounted to. Looks like it's dragging in one of the pictures.

O they wer draggin everywere but they held up lol im gonna trim them... I was bored so i decided i would take it offroad but it wasnt easy i didnt want to get ut muddy thats y i went tothe sand

 

Thats awesome, i have had mine for a year and not been out, however if had a place like that just down the road i probably would of!

 

ha my pop made me take it off a DB jump into the marsh the first week i bought it, so that i got the idea that its a truck and don't baby it!

 

Cool. Our trucks can handle the terrain. I try and not scratch mine

My worry with the front mud flaps was when backing out of danger. I trimmed the front with a tin snip.
