The family of George Thomas Wainwright, the Texas man killed this weekend by a great white shark off the southwest coast of Australia, is in mourning for a man who was "passionate about life and his hobbies" as hunters mobilize in the area to hunt suspected man-eating rogue sharks.
Wainwright, 32, was attacked Saturday while diving solo off a boat near Rottnest Island, a few miles from the city of Perth in Western Australia state. It was the third fatal attack on a human by a shark in these waters in recent weeks.


In a scene reminiscent of a Hollywood horror movie, shark hunters have gathered and are trying to lure in the great whites using hooks baited with tuna. They're hoping to catch the creatures before they strike again.







Seriously?? What the hell is going on? Stupid ass people are going to eventually wipe out the entire earth because it's a "threat."

 

Next you'll have some guy going to live with bears and when he gets eaten people will blame the bears.

Solo diving in shark infested waters? He asked for it. My deepest sympathy to his family though. It still sucks for them no matter why and how it happened.

 

So if a stranger comes into my house and I hit him over the head with an iron frying pan and he dies, then everyone that knows him will come to my house to kill me.

already happened lol. i saw the movie unbelievably stupid crazy and ignorant. me and my wife for like 2 hours just had our jaws hanging open like there grizzly bears lol wtf is this guy doing lol.

From what I heard, he was spear fishing which if he had a fish on his line or spear is much like putting a 15 pound steak around your neck and going for a walk in bear infested woods...Been diving for 20 years and try to stay away from sharks in general and never had any problems...condolences to his family on their loss.

People that purposely go out and kill animals because they are "rogue" or "man-eating" might as well go out and just start shooting every human they see. Human beings have the capability of killing each other just as easily as a shark can kill a human in the water - or as they say, "turning rogue."

What can you say, shit happens he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time period. I used to dive before and seen MANY sharks and i have found that, for the most part, if you are aware of them they do not bother but if you are oblivious to them then they are intrigued. But a lot of good divers with choke experience have died to them, like i said before shit happens and hopefully your not at the wrong place at the wrong time, just give them great respect and hopefully your not dinner lol

 

Humans will never understand what triggers animals to attack human beings on rare occasions but we still enter there territory, hell we still dont know why humans kill other humans...sorry for his family but its his fault...we have no right to go and kill all the sharks cause they attacked ....I dont see sharks coming to my home to kill me
