What is the difference between using the standard grill craft and satoshi'd? Is the satoshi style just with the grill recessed vs sitting flush onnthe front of the grill?

How do y'all go about mounting the mesh in the grill? I saw one where they just used zip ties but I don't really like that method because after so long from heat and cold zip ties become brittle and break. Had anyone done this with using small screws or anything else to mount the mesh inside of the grill?

Some are using epoxy to glue in mount studs for the mesh. I personally used zip tie mounts affixed with epoxy, instead of double sided tape and stainless steel zip ties from Lowes.
Got my mesh from customcargrills.com. Worth a look.

Yep zip tie mounts are the real deal... quick search came up with these. The ones i got from Lowes looked just like that. I ditched the double side sticky and epoxied them down.

    Stainless zip ties link

    Good luck!

I used regular zip ties, which was great cause when i redid my finish work i was able to cut them and just use more when i was done. And "homertaco" sells the mesh precut and ready to go. I actually used his mesh that i got from another member and it was great, didnt have to trim it at all.

Also, how did you get the screws into the emblems? did you just use small screws and screw them directly into the emblems? I am having a hard time understanding your process

I got mine for free from another member, but if you check out this thread, homertaco sells it, at least i think he still sells it. And at a good price, it is already cut and shaped to go right on, just have to paint it (and he might offer painted ones as well)

My TRD emblem came from ebay, and is made to be mounted like this, it comes with studs, nuts, and backing plates, but i switched to screws w/ the backing plates.
