Its the inside of a phone company underground splice case. It is a connection point between 4 phone cables (A 600 pr., a 900 pr., a 1200 pr. and a 3000 pr.). Its really not as bad as it looks. Everything is color coded.

Retired from the U.S Air Force but I still have to work. I work in the Bone Yard at Davis Monthan AFB Arizona. A very cool job, over 2000 airplanes stored here

Damn, I've always wanted to go there! I wouldn't want to take a guided tour but just take my time and walk the whole damned place!

Spent some time as a Firefighter, but now I'm an EMT-Intermediate for a private ambulance service in Fallon, Nevada. Also a Paramedic Intern looking for a pay raise and some more responsibility!

Worst I have had to deal with was a 300pr. As long as you remember you color code, and binder groups you're golden. Def not a job for te color blind.

Yeah. my worst was a 600 pr bridge tap on a 3000 pr. pulp cable. No binders, no color codes. :)

You have to use a 'tagging' machine, which sends tone on individual pairs from the CO.
