Can you use wheel spacers on the front only?
    what are the best ones?
how much space do i need?
I have a 2011 dclb sport 4x4 with a 3inch lift and 18s that are rubbing at almost full turn

What size tires? What's the backspacing of your wheels?

alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
if your rubbing at full turn, spacers will make it way worse. just trim the plastic

    ^^^

I'm asking because depending on the backspacing of the wheels, spacers could make the rubbing worse.

You can either take the wheel off and measure the backspacing (consult link below), or if you can find any stamping on them rim, such as "18x9JJ ET-12" or something like that, post it here and we can decode it for you.

    false.

they bolt to the hub, and then the wheel is bolted to them.
It's the exact same as having a wheel with more backspacing, which is fine.

wheel shims can be more of an issue.
