I was wondering if anyone has trimmed the lower portion of the front bumper right above the fog light holes on a 2nd gen tacoma and then made a tubed front bumper that sits right below it. i know its been done on a 1st gen. i remember seeing a pic of one somewhere, but i cant seem to find it anywhere. Can anyone help me?

I know the pic is a chevy:eek:, but you get the idea of what im talking about.

I really want to. The way I'm thinking, if I can do it just right, it should look super clean. I've got a buddy here in town where I'm going to school who specializes in offroad fabrication (those are rare in Texas) who said he'd make me one with my design for $400 including materials. Ive seen his work and it is really good. I just can't decide if that's a good price or not.

It definitely looks unique, but you are cutting up a perfectly good bumper cover that could be sold for $$.

Why would you intentionally make your approach angle worse than it could be?

The 2" or 3" would be pretty insignificant. Especially when you get to obstacles that steep.

    Really?

Actually, on obstacles that steep is exactly when it would matter most.
