I'm assuming he is talking about some sort of acid wash. I sell some stuff where I work that is mostly oxalic acid that works really well on aluminum boats, I might try to use it. Spray it on and let it sit for a few minutes and rinse with water. I just don't know if it will damage the rubber...

Does that one have a manual bypass like the stock one?

Sounds like the relay is not strong enough to handle the loads.

reason i ask i just got mine put on but im running a manual switch to run them in case it gets too warm.

I used rustoleum paint semi gloss back.. First I used easy off oven cleaner to strip the polish and any other stuff off the rims for a good base. Then I sprayed three coats of primer 15 min to dry between each coat then repeated that with the black semi gloss.

Its the box that you mount up in the engine bay that has a turn knob for pre set temp control, Also it is set to auto come and stay on with AC and Defrost.

It works like a charm when not off roading.

They're sending the case in to Toyota corporate today so we should know by the end of the week hopefully. I kind of fucked my chances since I was painting over everything, but there are still two holes inboard of the spring hangers

So you're at risk of having your leaf springs break free? Not good...

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
Not only that, but aired down gives a better tread contact patch on the ground, which in turn yields more traction.

    Look at build!
Hooked up some new 7" lights that were fitted with 5k HIDs and put a old "toyota" emblem on in place of my custom emblem! I also re-painted the grill surround. The roll on bedliner idea just didnt work out to well!

yeah pretty much. I would imagine the spring hangers would go through the frame and my rear tires would eat my bed.

Lowered my tire pressure some to even out tread wear, and painted my rear hubs black. They guy that repaired my truck supposedly did an alignment, buy the inside of my tires show that they don't even touch the ground. (Inside of tire still has dirt marks on it after driving on pavement while the rest doesn't.) Maybe it's just because I have stock UCA's, and they settle after an alignment?
