In a quest for never ending polls I thought I would start a new one.

Pretty simple, just curious how many people own (either out right or making payments to a financial institution to one day own out right) or lease.

I think with all of the modifications people are doing it will probably lean towards owning but lets see.

I Own (making payments) Only 4 more years.

I probably own the tires and the two front seats. The bank still owns the rest.

Bought mine. Negotiated a good deal, told the dealer I was paying in full, wired the money that day. Saved for years to buy a brand new truck. Drove a POS Ranger until the wheels fell off before I got the Tacoma.

Somebody already alluded to this, but if you're still paying it off, the BANK owns it! Still better than leasing.

    I own mine.

Mines a lease. When I got it I planned on keeping it for 3 or 4 years then trading it in on another Tacoma. With the interest rates at the time and having an open-end lease it was a better deal for me than buying. My previous Tacoma I was buying.

I'm leasing mine and this is the first vehicle I've ever had that I plan on coming for years to come. The plan is to buy it out at lease-end ($17K CAD).....To buy the truck was like $900/mo for 60 mos.

Dude... how much was your truck??? At 12% interest, a payment that big for 60 months means it was a $40k+ Tacoma! It creeps up to almost $44k if the interest rate is 10%.

Well don't mean to be prideful, but paid it off in two payments. Got a great deal on my other Toyota truck, plus with the deals they offered I had to make at least one payment.

Keep in mind I'm in Canada where everything is made of solid gold.....On the Toyota.ca website I just built an '09 TRD packaged exactly like my '07 and it came out to be $42,423.03 taxes in.That translates to $818.18/mo x 60 mos at 5.9% interest. The lease on that puppy is $618.45/mo x 48 mos.

The real kick in the stones is that the '08's were $3000 cheaper than my '07 because Toyota adjusted for the strong Canadian dollar.:(

Sad but true Bro,check out Toyota.ca and see.....I wonder why people were going across the border in droves to buy new vehicles in the past two years when the Loonie was so strong?
