Nice truck! Are you on customtacos? I'm running 225s on 17x9s, but I can't go any bigger in tire size or I will hang past the fenders out back.

S-Runner rear sway bar seems to be gaining some popularity lately. You'd have to drill a couple holes in your frame for the end-link brackets though...

Hellwig and Addco also make rear sway bars but I can't remember which is the better of the two...

Lowered 3/4, debadged, led tails, projector headlights with hids, billet grill, blacked out windows, painted front and rear bumper and grill shell. Inside, 4 crappy 15's, suede wrapped headliner and door panel inserts, alpine double din, few painted pieces inside, and every led is either blue or white.
I love that stance. Looks nasty. What's up with the gap in the hood?

nvm i was wrong the whole time read this

See, it's actually a trick question - the truthful answer is that you DON'T raise the back of the hood so hot air can escape, because when you raise the back of the hood you're actually screwing up airflow through the engine compartment - hot air doesn't escape. The back of the hood, base of the windshield area is actually a high pressure region (that's why the manufacturers put the interior vent air intakes there). You've perhaps seen hoods with cowl intakes, a raised center section open at the back of the hood connected to the air filter? That's because it's a high pressure zone, great for taking air IN TO the engine compartment - terrible for letting air out of the engine compartment!

The raised rear of the hood is a styling gimmick that was begun, I suppose, by a few people who thought it must be good for letting hot air out. They didn't understand airflow over and through the car, and never measured to confirm what they expected. There HAVE been people since who have tested underhood temperatures with and without that mod, and in fact the engine compartment runs hotter with the back of the hood raised.

So, your question was a trick question - you can't modify the hood to raise it in the rear to let hot air out, because raising the back of the hood doesn't actually let hot air out when the car is in motion.

It's not for aerodynamics. It's just a style thing. But it is slightly beneficial after running your car hard during hot days when idling for long periods of time while waiting in line at auto cross or drift events.

Honda and acuras started "hood propping" to make room for swaps such as h2b(prelude motor) with integra tranny or accord motors, it would help clearance as those motors don't sit as they should in a small civic.

Now when I got to meets (i also own a modded civic) bunch of dudes do that just for looks because all they have is 100hp sohc motors... lol

Just for looks? I don't understand that because I think creating an uneven body gap looks like crap haha, especially if there is no reason for it. I understand that you have a reason for it and I'm not bashing your truck mig98taco.

To each their own my good man. I like what I like and vise versa. And just FYI I dropped the hood back down for while but, in the future I will be raising it back up twice as high just to make people like you hate me more! Lol. Not really I just like how it looks. :p
