I know some of you guys are using cbs i your trucks have any of you tried any of the frs radios. My family has some of them and find them to be clearer and easier to use than a cb plus no need for another antenna. Im especially interested in the ones with dual frs/gmrs capability.

alot of the frs are hand held but they do make base stations and such. I just like that they set up so easy and have great sound quality since they are fm instead of am like cbs and can get at least a few miles of reception with no antenna mounted on the truck. I always seemed like i was screwing around with squelch and gain on my cbs trying to make it easily understandable. Also the newer frs will can pick up the NOAA stations.

That's the thing they are cheap too. Around 60 bucks or so For a decent one. It almost seems like they were an awesome idea but are really overshadowed by cell phone tower proliferation.

Hoping that tomorrow's weather will make my Taco all worth it. Always wanted a Tacoma since I was old enough to drive, and after moving here last year it was about time. I haven't got a bed cover yet, do you vets thinks it's a must? Any ideas for sealing the bed outlet?

Your fine with no cover the snow in the bed will just give you more traction. Either way your fine. Outlet is fine the way it is.
