    LED Hood Scoop
I'll make a video at night and post it. But to answer a few questions:

    • There is absolutely no glare off the hood. This was a concern of mine during the project, but no glare. My truck in magnetic gray. But I doubt a white version would have any issues.
    • Light coverage - The stock fog lights fill out the sides of the truck immediately in front of me. The LED fills out the rest of the world about 10 feet in front. Side to side, top to bottom. The wide would probably be a little better if not sunk quite as far into the scoop (inside about 1 ~ 1.5"), but still awesome.
    • Legality... This is probably in the eyes of the cop that pulls me over :). I don't have any intention of using this onroad unless out in the middle of nowhere. Then all the time.
    • Scrolling LED messages, etc... If you have a hood scoop you know it's almost directly in line with rear window of most cars in front of you. I pity the fool that cuts me off next...

I like it...that REALLY puts out some light!

And it may technically be illegal, but come on now...who REALLY cares? In CO, modified suspensions are technically illegal, window tint, loud exhausts, tires outside the fender lines, etc...I say keep on modding! If you get a ticket, then you can complain.

Here's another thought...for the $350 or so you'll spend on the Specter unit, how much light could you throw down the road with Hella / PIAA HIDs for less money? Would it be as cool?
