I'd like to switch the lower plastic bumper from an '01-'04 onto my 2000. I was just wondering if this was even possible. Anybody know?

No, the bumper/valence design is totally different.

it probably would, but the contours of the bumper wouldn't match w/ the bottom of the grille. Possible, but IMO wouldn't look good unless you swapped the entire front end.

I was just about to post the same comment.

You will have to modify the frame horns to get the 01-04 bumper to fit.

It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
You just have to drill holes on the 01-04 brackets..its the same as a 4runner bumper swap(popular swap to 2wd Tacomas).

01-04 bumpers are physically wider then 98-00 bumpers because all 01-04 trucks came with 4x4 fenders..whether it be a 4wd or 2wd...so if you don't have 4x4 fenders on you truck and you have flat top 2wd fenders...the 01-04 bumper will look funky on there. I've done the swap and I know it looks weird lol

You could always get a 2WD 98-00 bumper..the metal bumper itself goes all the away across the valance..unlike the 4wd bumpers of those years.

If prepped right. That's how lots of members get rid of the chrome on their grilles and rear bumpers.
