Here is the story behind my pic

A lady owns some land in the valley down the road and it was land locked (no access road)
Her son wanted to start a tree business where he raised native plants to sell to the landscapers so he hired a contractor to build a road, the contractor didn't have a piece of equipment so the son rented a brand new John Deere excavator, it had less then 600 hours on it.

So as you can see he got stuck and thinking he could dig himself out he kept digging a bigger hole, pretty soon he had a massive hole about 12 feet deep and they bring in a dozer which they also manage to bury for several days before finally freeing it.
They put pumps in the hole to keep the water level down while trying to figure out how to get the excavator out but somewhere along the line the pumps quit and the hole filled with water.

    Pretty strange huh?
    Well it gets better

The State has a fit that they have a piece of equipment leaking fluids into a wetlands so they threaten a bunch of fines and the rental company ends up selling the rig to a salvage company really cheap.
The salvage guys show up with another larger excavator and manage to bury that one also and end up having to rent a 100 ton crane to come in and pull both excavators out.

Should be end of story right?

Well not really cause the State has a fit that the wetlands have not been restored to previous conditions and again threaten fines so the land owner hires a dump truck to fill the hole in.

Wanna guess what happens when you back a dump truck weighing 80,000 lbs up to a hole that has previously swallowed 1 dozer and 2 excavators :laugh:
