Ive got a 00 tacoma 4x4 trd with about 150k miles on it. Its in good condition, solid frame (just undercoated by toyota), new OME front shocks and springs and new rear shocks and springs. The only thing wrong with the truck is the steering rack needs to be replaced and I have a new rack. Im thinking I could get 8-10k for my truck? There is a nice 93 toyota truck for sale down the street selling for 4 grand. Its got the 3.0 and 179000 miles. Looks in good condition and its lifted with a front bumper. Should I sell my truck and pick up this older yota and pocket 4-6 grand? I am a broke college student and that money would be nice. I am just worried about the motor, and if it will be able to tow my 3000 pound trailer for my landscape company. Opinions please?

If thats what YOU want then go for it, but try to look at the whole picture and not the now and weight out the pros and cons

How are the 3.0 engines? How many more miles can I get out of that engine? I understand its not as reliable as the 3.4 but is it a good engine?

I would say stick with yours. It will still last a lot longer. The 1st gens are my favorite years anyway.

My minds not made up. Just dont know much about the 3.0. It is kind of a spur of the moment thing. Still weighing the pros and cons.
