Mine has a module that programs the codes from the chip inside the key sonit thinks there's a key when the alarm receives the signal for the remote start to activate...does not dissable the immobilizer at all

I rarely get into my truck without remote starting it first. No weird AC smell! I was wondering if the Viper module was a monthly charge too? I thought I remembered reading where you have a monthly service fee for it and the iPhone app. I may be wrong though.

Is there a remote starter for manual trucks? I think I know the answer, No lol. Just wondering. I remember reading back you had to disable a safter feature and thats why they don't do it.

That's not bad considering the range you get. As long as you have service and your truck does as well you can remote start?

My buddy had that starter and it didn't work after 6 months. Hope you have better luck!

I only use my starter when it's below freezing, well below!

This could be due to the installer. Did they find the source problem?

Shit :bananadead: I don't remember...becuz I literally got the alrm the next the it had just been released but the module was $200

Mine work instantly after it was installed and programmed and ive had it for a while now...
Plus I like that my phone goes off n it send me random texts alerting me if my alarm had been triggered and stuff

    X2

Do it, I like mine...trips the crap out of my friends or random people becuz I'll be on my phone and just start it...
Only down side, there is a nasty delay lol. Like 5-10 seconds depending on the signal

delay isn't a big deal to me. I can see my truck from my office window, so being to start the truck in the winter will be nice!

Try to dig around until you find the controller box then Google for it's owners manual that's what I did with mine.
Edit: They are usually installed somewhere under the dash. Mine was all the way at the top above my steering column zip tied into a little bar thing that was welded onto the firewall.

Googleing is show it to be about $700 for the controler module, a 2-way fob, and a 1-way fob.
Edit: Amazon has it for $200, but I'm not sure if they are authorized dealers.
