    No with a plasma. Got a welder that cuts/tigs. Prob would have gotten cleaner cuts with a circular saw :laugh: I have a skid under the transmission too.


    Here's 2 more pics. Gettin better w/ the aluminum. 1st project with it... besides wasting Argon on scrap

    Possibly... I have Chase's truck to do next. He's not sure on steel or aluminum.


    btw! the whole shabang weighs 32lb including the trans skid. Supported hodge podge like on the backside to clear all the mounts and shit underneath the engine/diff :D:D:D

    It cost me $205 for a 6'x2.5' sheet of 1/4" 6061 plate. Used about half of it.

    Think I saved more than 2/3 the weight. ATO's weighs 200 some pounds just for the front skid.
    Edit: Nevermind they're 70lb. 200 is the price
