at the small local hill its $34.00 a day, but its very small 22 runs.
I try to go to Sunday River every year, and i think a day pass is $110.00
    Mont Tremblant is $75.00
and a season pass here is $250.00

I paid $75.00 to join the ski patrol, hill paid the rest, and i get deals almost everywhere I go.

Yeah thats why backcountry riding kicks ass. A lot of work, but the pay off of is worth it.

I worked at a small ski area as an instructor so I didnt have to pay the ridiculous cost for a lift ticket. Shitty ski area but had some good times.

yeah I started as an instructor when I was 15 or 16, to much drama there now though, I joined the ski patrol and its a great group, not enough girls though. and IMO small ski areas kick ass. Its a good time. I know here after 3-4 weeks into a season I know most of the people on the hill, and its just a place to fool around. I do make a few trips once in a while to get some "serious"boarding in, but the sport is all about having fun and just chilling out. It's my place to get away. small areas kick ass, as long as there isn't to much ice.

I live and work in Aspen, full season passes are $1,800 right now, but since they are one of my biggest clients, I have not paid for a pass in over 10 years.

We just don't get the front range ( Far Western Kansas, lol! ) crowds places like Vail and Breckenridge do. The only thing better than a foot of blower down "Full Curl" is heli skiing baby!

My wife and I leave Cali next week, time to break out the splitty and boot pack the bowl:D

    ^agree^

Yah, my wife and I found out real quick that season passes are a must. We went to Winterpark 3-4 times in the spring and I wanna say it was around $50-$75 for the lift tickets each. If you plan on going more than just a couple of times, a season pass is the way to go. Spent like $425 on my season pass to both Copper Mtn and Winterpark this year. Figured I'd be getting my money's worth after just 3 weekends. I'm planning on going as much as possible this winter! The 8 inches of snow outside my door right now is killin me. How much did you get yesterday NYCO?

dang! at the slope i have been to. it’s $45 for lift ticket. season passes are $250 and you can get the parking pass for an extra $30. but it’s like $8 to park at the top. in one of the 3 parking lots. or you can park down in a lot on the main road in Gatlinburg TN and take the air tram up and it’s like $12. i’m going to get my pass this year. plain on going every day i can.

I'm going to Sunday river the weekend before Christmas. It's like $120 for 2 days, $79 a day I believe

could be for some reason I had that it was $110 or so. I could be wrong. but its a sweet hill. Go to the extremities, it's much less crowded. The Chondola ( chairlift and gondola) gets pretty crowded and expect good size line on that lift.

:puke: I love skiing, but I definitely could not justify almost $2k for a full season pass. I know you get your monies worth but damn!!! Just another way to get their visitors by the balls! Wanna come to our awesome resort??? Your gonna have to pay!

sad thing is, most people who don't work for the resort and live in aspen can afford it...

those who can't afford it figure ways to get free passes, i.e. work for the man or find a nice relationship with the resort to receive a pass

I think thats why I hung around that ski area for so long, taught for about 5 years, good people and a pretty chill place. On slow days we would just cruise around the place, knew all the little drops, fun tree runs, and the "shimmy shack". No way sexual, as some may think

yeah we built a little shack also, ski patrol never knew where it was. I dunno if its still there or not, but with the ski patrol we have a much nicer shack. If I remember correctly it has satalite TV and a kick ass surround sound system. Most of the time someone will bring a PS3 or XBOX 360 to fool around on.
