so this is an inductive letter, or a bad news letter.


Since the beginning of our service learning class you have shown yourself to be very capable of handling your job as a senior manager. You have shown that you have the ability to both lead as well as follow instructions. And I feel that you would make a great project manager.

At this point everyone knows who they should contact with questions as well as knows who they are responsible to if they don’t complete their duties in timely manner. A lot of undue stress and questioning would occur if at this junction we decided to have Katie step down from her position as project manager.

In response to your request, I have talked it over with the other senior managers and we feel that instead of replacing her we should work to assist her in her duties. This is not saying that you would not do the job as well her but she is doing it adequately enough at this point that we should not look to replacement but towards lending a hand.

I will continue to review the situation as time progresses and keep you in mind if any movement needs to occur in order for our project to come to fruition.
