I think Toyota will warranty any work they do for 1 year/12k miles or something. I'd take it back and tell them that it's worse and tell about this TSB. Try calling Toyota with this as well...

I just had the MOTOR SUB ASSY: 8710304043 put on my 2011. Morgan (Courtesy Toyota Brandon, FL Mechanic) informed me that this is the newest blower.

At first he informed me that the '11 model has the newer assembly and the older assembly with the issues was in the 05-09 models. After he searched Toyota's maintenance and service bulletin POI's (if I recall what he said correctly) he found out that these issues have been extended through the '11 model yr. Per Morgan, 05-11 assemblies 8710304040 - 8710304042 have different hardware connecting the fan to the motor which includes a compression spring and the 8710304043 has a bolt connecting the fan to the motor. Hopefully Morgan is correct and this will resolve the rattling issues I was having because it was driving me nuts.

Looking forward to hearing more about these. My Tyc aftermarket motor is noisy now, but in a different way! Not chirping, but similar.

Replaced mine last December when it began to get cold. Yesterday morning .... lower temps .... chirping once again ... time to call the dealership for #2 replacement.

    Thanks for the info.

I complained about my second blower chirping with my last oil change (Tuesday of this week) and when everything was done and I was checking out I asked if I needed to schedule appt for #3 and he said 'It says done, he must have lubed it'

Unless they had one on hand and swapped it out....it's quiet for now.

T-SB-0162-11? Does anyone have a copy or PDF of this?

I had been using the other one T-SB 0092-10. I already had the "new" blower motor installed, and it lasted about 6 months and is now chirping along. Is the new fan part number the same as the one I already have, 87103-04043? If so, this would be extremely disappointing!
