2011 NCAA Football Thread

How do the SEC fans feel about Texas A&M entering the confrence? Have any of you heard anything about Missouri bidding on entering the confrence as well? I think A&M will be a good addition but it will take them about 4 years before they can compete with everyone else. As far as Missouri, I dont think they will ever be able to compete with the SEC teams. I think that they should try and get a team from the ACC. I would love to Clemson enter the SEC. That would be a great addition, they are capable of competing with most teams now.

O yea, Im a bama fan by the way and I cant wait till LSU game in 9 days. Who ever wins is gonna go home with the BCS champ this year.

 

Clemson could probably hang with Bama for a while. Hell, Tennessee was tied with Bama at halftime last week (first time this season), but I don't think they could hang the entire game. I think the list of SEC teams that could beat Clemson is pretty short, and all in the West: Alabama, La State, Arkansas. I think the Arky game would be close and could go either way. They'd do well in the SEC this year, but they wouldn't end up on top.

As for how I feel about it... I wish there was a way we could see it played out on the field. As much as I think we'd end up winning, you never know what can happen on the field (TTech / OU).

 

It would be a interesting game if Clemson played LSU. If they ever do I hope LSU beats the crap out of Clemson. Clemson fans says Clemson has won more games playing some of the SEC schools than Carolina has. They just hadnt played with the big boys of the SEC.

Should be a good one, prolly have to miss it as I'm headed to the Plains to watch the Ole Miss-Auburn game. I still say the game with GA will be both teams season, per say. Des FL have there QB back?

 

He's "probable". If he can walk, he'll be in the game. This isn't one anyone on either team misses because of an ankle injury, unless it's snapped in half.

I'm a HUGE Auburn fan but the game I am most looking forward to is the Bama / LSU game. LSU is beastly but I don't see anyone stopping Alabama...just too many weapons on both sides of the ball. Clemson is exciting to watch this year. I wouldn't mind if they joined the SEC. I'm still wondering how A&M will do in the SEC...probably get whipped for a few years and then get strong! Bama is looking like they will win another national championship and Richardson looks great for the Heisman. I'm excited for them.

 

Despite being a GA fan I have a healthy respect for Bama (unlike the utter disdain I have for other SEC teams like Florida or Tenn or Auburn or the Cocks, ). But I do generally pull for Bama when it won't affect GA adversely, often saying "I bleed RED AND BLACK, but I ROLL TIDE." LOL

But yea, Bama/LSU should be a great game. May answer the age old question of ""What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?"

 

I despise LSU more than Georgia so I'm hoping Alabama came come out on top. It's, in reality, the real National Championship game because if anyone else goes up against LSU or Bama...they won't win & I'm certain we will see one of these teams hoisting the trophy this year. I think Alabama is just the better team & their defense is probably the best they have ever had!
