no kidding, there was noticeably less light behind the nets. can't say I've ever seen the players cast a shadow like that before either. second rate facility at best.

I would take Luongo on my team anyday. Just when your on a Canadian team the microscope is WAY too much. Imagine if he let in the 9 or 8 goals last night? You dont barley hear a word about Bryzgalov do you? Or King Henny letting weak goals in last night. Its how it goes though

I get what your saying but IMO the offence was horrible as well. Bad passing, poor execution, penalties out the ass, etc.

The only reason the score was high was because all 4 goalies sucked. I have never seen a game that bad. 8 goals on 22 shots = poop all around. Might of been better if they had a soccer goalie in goal for both teams.

Their markets are totally different - Philly and NYC don't have the same amount of interest as the majority of people in Vancouver. Lookit Philly for example: how many sports page covers do the Flyers get unless it's Pronger's eye injury? Maybe it's also because Philly and NYC have other major sports teams their fans might follow as well (?). But you're right about the microscope thing in Canada. I think it's almost to the point of tabloid magazine behavior with the Canadian media sometimes.

Its totally true. Like right now Luke Schenn is in a slump and not on his game. But theres no way in HELL Wilson will bench him, and he hasnt for about 4-5 games now because of the media attention it will have and all the BS about "is he a bust" and bla bla bla.

 

If Wilson benches anybody it should be Komisarek. Although he's been doing okay so far this year. I wish they could get a proven goalie to take them the distance, but maybe Reimer is the real deal (something the Monster should've been)
