    No it dont GOTTA be

Dont get me wrong, LSU and Bama are good, but theyre not untouchable...no team is...that's the whole beauty of actually playing the game is that no matter what...any team at any time could lose

Hell just last season #1 Bama blew it to South Carolina who promptly laid a big fat turd against Kentucky the very next week

Defense wins championships, and LSU and Bama have without a doubt the 2 best defenses in the country. That's why I think whoever wins that game will be the NC.

ok, I'll agree with that...but, just hard to see either of them laying an egg with their respective remaining schedules (other than their dual on 11/05). Maybe Arkansas could give LSU some trouble, but Bama's remaining schedule should be a cakewalk.

But you're right, "Any Given Saturday" :)

Again....I'm an Auburn fan...but Bama is stacked this year and Saban isn't playing around. He plays tight ball on both sides of the line. Their defense is #1 in the nation...and defense wins games. Their defense is probably the best they have ever had which is saying a lot because Bama is a defense team. Saban is going to play honest, ground pounding football with no tricks, because he doesn't need tricks. I know people say that anyone can be beat and while I usually believe that, I just don't see Bama giving up a game to anyone. Saban is the kind of coach who isn't trying to fool anyone. He's not going to place his guys in a position to get exposed, hes not going to take chances. They are just way to good to give up a game. As long as they can get past LSU (which they can) they will win the BCS National Championship. This isn't at all the same Bama team we saw last year, they grew, they learned and they are beastly. Hightower will disrupt any offense in the nation, Richardson can find holes in d-lines that are virtually non existent while juking and breaking ankles, Lacy is a monster and McCarron is the real deal. I may have to eat my words and if I'm wrong I'll admit it but I'm sticking to it until someone proves me wrong....Alabama is unbeatable this year. They will post up another National Championship all while proving that if you want to be a championship contender, you have to be able to stop an SEC team.

    Hear, hear...
There's a little part of me, every night before I go to sleep, that wishes Saban will get bored in Alabama and take a sudden affinity to Athens, GA.

lol...I would want him at Auburn but I'm sold as a Gene Chizik man! I don't see him leaving Bama anytime soon....too much money. Until someone makes him a better offer he's staying!

I've said this for years. I have some UGA haters at work that are ALWAYS putting down the Dawgs no matter who we are playing. When a big game is coming up they of course say we don't have a chance. But I tell them anybody can lose at any time. That's why you actually play the games, strange concept I know. But unfortunately my Dawgs have proved me wrong of late. But I still say it, A team may have a hard time getting up for lesser teams and who knows? A bad break here or there and bam, upset. That's what makes it great. We've all seen QB's have a bad day not hitting their targets. Any thing can happen. That's why we have hope. That's why I hope for my Dawgs to make it to the SEC CG, I don't expect to win, (I know I'll get flamed for this) but it could happen and how much more fun is it to win when you don't expect to?

Yea, you won't get any flaming from this way by sayin you don't expect uga to win if we make it to the CG. No one will. Lol.

On a worse note, Malcolm Mitchell is out with a hamstring. He's been petty reliable lately. So for anyone keeping count that's 2 defensive players suspended for the first half and a WR out for the game. Gettin off to a good start.

Yeah that sucks about Mitchell and the suspensions. :( But I figured I'd get flamed from the Bamer and Tiger fans.

Athens is amazing. I have yet to make it to a Cocktail Party. I will, though. That place has to be crazy.
