haha, yeah, i'll be keeping mine.

if the westins need tabs welded on and can't find a place around you, send them my way and i'll hook you up. could even put multipe extra mounts on them so they're really strong.

appreciate that. i took more pictures of it today for john (see last page). he just bought my old roof rack.

speaking of which, JONATHAN! where are those pictures of your truck with the rack on it? i'm sure the ones you sent to my phone don't do it justice. i bet it looks killer with the shorter load bars :) those new arms for the fairing come in?

but yeah, if you need to send them this way, i'd be glad to ad the extra mounts/braces. it may actually be easier for me than your local welding shop actually since i have a set to take measurements from and base it off of.

Dang you've been busy. Truck is looking sick. Good job with those bends on the roof rack. Have you used the bender for any other projects recently?

Thanks Jason, good to have you stop by. hope schools still going well for ya this semester.

other than the sliders for my trailer and the roof rack, i haven't really used it much. mostly because school takes up all of my time. i do have a good number of builds for various people lined up to start this summer when i get some free time back. it'll be put to good use then. also thinking or building a full bed rack to replace my current one, one that would have the ability to carry a roof top tent. that would require a lot of tube work.

Thanks Coby. my wheels got torn up this summer and were starting to really look bad. had some real deep gouges which also started to chip away at the paint. the bedliner fills it all in nicely :D

    what nittos you going with?
i just got a set of used 295/70/17s off a guy on craigs list.
another set of terra grapplers with about the same amount of tread as my current tires, maybe a bit more. can't wait to get them on! just gotta chop and gusset my cab mounts first.

things are big, one just about took up my whole roof rack width wise

Rack looks good man, nice work!

Id like to see how the 295/70/17s fit. I will be getting some new tires soon, gonna go with 295/70/17s aswell, gonna try the trail grapplers this time around. Did not like how my terras performed at rausch in the snow.

thanks, getting the bends symetrical sucked lol.

i've actually been thrilled with how my terras have done. both in dry conditions and muddy/snowy conditions. what pressure were you running? i found they do kinda suck in mud untill you get down to about 15 psi, and snow untill you get lower than about 18. my 265s are p rated though, so it yours are an lt load range, you'd have to go lower.

the 295s should fit almost identically to 285s. they're abut a half inch shorter, and a half inch wider. i'll throw up clearance pictures when i get the tires on though.

Yah im sure, iv done quite a few jobs at work using a bender, nothing that had to be very symetrical but had to have multiple bends for handrails and such.

I do love my terras on everything but snowy rausch. They did good in the snow we got a year or 2 agout my last trip to rausch i could not get traction on anything, was aired down to 14psi. Its either I get terras again and put together another wheelset just for wheelng, or try the trail grapplers. As much as id love to, I just cant afford to put together a spare wheelset just for wheelin.

i'd love to try the trails. my new 295 are just temporary. i couldn't pass up $80 for a set of 4 tires :D

when these go i'll get a more agressive 285 or 295.

have you wheeled with john? he's dead set on 295 trail grapplers.

Shit $80  I wouldnt have passed that up either, haha.

I havnt wheeled with john, I would go with 285/70/17 again but last I checked the trails dont come in 285 so I would have to go up to 295. I already made my mind up that as soon as I need new tires or come across a hell of a deal, im going with the trails.

yeah, some guys wife told him to get thier son new tires for his truck as a welcome home present for returning from serving overseas, even though there's still plenty of tread on these. they came off some big dodge. look on the guys face was pretty good when i pulled up and he realized what they were gonna go on.

i was in your boat, i pretty much knew what i wanted unless some good deal came up, and this was quite the deal lol

minor update. Florida crew got our act together and had some stickers made

weather's been absolutely beautiful down here recently. low to mid 80s with a nice ocean breeze :) had to take advantage of it
    [IMG]

helped my boss lift his jeep.

opened up the box to the intake i made expecting everything to be covered in mud from the last wheeling trip but the design worked better than i ever thought it would....spotless.

also picked up a full sized spare. i gues it's actually oversized at the moment since the 295s aren't going on till monday. still have to chop my cab mounts on sunday.
