If I wasn't allergic and had to have one of those Hypoallergenic pure breeds, I'd take a shelter dog in a heartbeat

This is correct. Also, Mutts are the most mentally "stable", as the inbreeding of dogs can lead to mental issues.

Ben, the 2x4 speaks with wisdom (shit, did I just say that?). I just got married to a 35-year-old, and this is both of our first marriages. Back in 2000, when I was merely 34, I thought I had finally found "the one," but that ended disturbingly not well. She started being mean in ways that baffled me. I was shattered. But I knew it wasn't right. Today, we are still friends, and better still, I am glad it did not work out, because ultimately, were were not a good long-term match, but I could not see that when I was in it. And I would not have found my shiny new wife, who I am now wise enough to understand is very good for me in ways I never expected (we dated 8 years...). As one of my buddies said, Hey, man, don't rush into it...

It takes time to get over such things. Get to know yourself better, go places far away and back again, go get your winky wet it lots of exciting new ways (there are lots of ways. LOTS), and take your time.

Clearly I am not inbred, as my familly back ground reads more like the ingredient list on a Catchup bottle......

    Morning Garage.

Speaking of dogs, i saw a few homeless people yesterday with 2 dogs. A black lab mix and a pit mix. I always feel bad for these dogs because they don't have a choice in being homeless. They were right outside of walmart, so i went in an got a 10lb bag of dog food and gave it to them.
