For SBR users who also use suppressors the majority of the time, a muzzle break will save your blast baffle in your suppresor from a majority of the erosion. That's why I have a OPS Inc muzzle break on my 12.5 carbine that I run with a OPS Inc M4S suppressor.

God, you made my Friday....just reviewing your comments, I'm getting giddy all over again.
I love when you 'experts' school me on things I've known for 30 years.
    Thanks again.

Mr Haley also had a company teaching tactical shooting. I got sent to his class in Hawaii with 2 guys from other ships for a US Navy Designated Marksman course. Spent 4 weeks doing nothing but shooting our DMR M-14's... My favorite rifle. The guy was pretty damn cool. This was back in 2005-2006.

I was a DM when I was in. I too enjoyed shooting that M-14. Who built the Navy DMR's? Crane? Or did Quantico build yours too?

good find, i've got a 74 style brake on my AK47 and it made a pretty big difference, it does however throw fire out each side like you wouldn't believe now:eek:

Ours were Quantico built as well. I actually was the shipboard armorer for the USMC Fast team stationed out of Yokosuka for a couple years. Absolutly loved it and got to do some cool stuff.

Going through the DM course really got me into long range tactical shooting. I love it now, I need to get into some competitions and stuff. I just recently moved but I am trying to find some place where I can do 500-1000yard shoots.

I am a firearms instructor and do some custom builds here and there, you need to check out Battle Comp. I have used all different brakes in the past and this one rules them all.

This is why I chose an AAC brake over the blackout, plus I don't like the "ping" of the blackout.

My lower-pressure 300 AAC bolt gun runs a brakeout, only because I need something as a mount for my can.
