    long story short,
My ex wifes sister is dying, she's in ICU with a breathing tube and in an induced coma, at least until the tube comes out.

im supposed to go on vacation in 5 days for 10days.

if she dies, and the funeral was planned a few days after i went away
should I stay home or go on vacation.
I'm going away with my wife 2 sisters and brother inlaws.

my wife thinks I should go on vacation, in her words
"So, the option to not go on vacation is going to make everything better for everyone? It doesn’t take anyones grief away"
    Should I go or stay?

Since it's your ex-wife, send a post card of you and your family to the funeral (if you want to be a dick) or send flowers

    where is the vacation to?

Depends on what day the potential funeral would be.

If it is scheduled for the day you leave or the day after you leave and it would be easy for you to catch a flight, then stay for the funeral. If it is scheduled for mid-vacation, skip the funeral.

If you are flying to vacay spot and can't change flight, then go on vacation.

If your current wife tells you that she will be your next ex if you don't go on vacation, then send flowers and condolences.
