Because in my case I was "pressured" into starting it. The day that I started I was on a bb diamond tired as fuu from a long day and one of my friends told me to try it. It gave me a second wind and I didn't look back until I stepped off the diamond for the last time, but usually I did it just because everyone else had done it or was doing it. Most people start dipping/smoking because they see someone else doing it and they want to try it, then they start doing it regularly and get the "hey I didn't know that you smoked/dipped" kind of attention that they didn't previously have. Then they realize that they are screwed and want to quit but can't or go to the doctor and realize that it's too late and the have cancer of some kind. If I were you I'd quit while I you're ahead.

I live in SC so I know a few redneck corn fed and bred girls that dip themselves, but I also know a few who think that it is a disgusting habit that don't want to be around me when I do it. So if I'm at a party I'll step away from them and put one in for a few minutes then go back.

If you're ever in the Barnwell/Allendale area of SC they sell so much of it that they don't hardly mark it up and you can get it super cheap. Like my poison of choice Griz Green is only 1.50 a can and about 6 for a sleeve.

That happens to me every blue moon. I get gator lip like a mofo with it tho. Don't buy any cope around here it sits on the shelves so long that if you buy some it's already dried up and no good. All they can sell is Grizzly Wintergreen, Mint, and Straight. I had a girl want to try some of mine one time she didn't know to spit even tho I had a bottle in my hand full of it, and swallowed for about 5 minutes then puked for about an hour. At least it kept her off of it.

gizzy wintergreen used to do that to me. and i got tired of those looks when people smelled it when i opened it. went to get a sleeve one day last year and all they had was mint and straight. got the straight and never went back. i can do the flavored stuff, but i'll just stick to my straight. longhorn straight is also a really good straight for the price ($1.45).

i actually know some girls that knew of some college softball players that would make a small cut on their big toe and put pouches on it and then put on their socks and shoes and play ball cause they liked the little buzz it gave them, and you can't have tobacco in college sports anymore.

I do agree with lots of people being pressured. But in my case, i actually wasnt. yeah, i grew up around families where all the dads dipped and the moms smoked so i was always around tobacoo. But the first time i tried dipping i just found a can laying around and decided to try it. Never was told or asked if i wanted too, i just did it on my on. I didnt follow anyone. Yeah being around it was probably part of the reason i decided to try it but i was following or giving into pressure like all assume. And sorry to sound rude but i hate it when people tell me "quit while your ahead" or "your not really addicted yet, you havent been doing it long enough". If your 18 and you already dip almost a can a day of copenhagen, then sounds like your pretty damn addicted and far from ahead. Thats just my opinion here.

Sounds exactly like me, my dad dips and my mom smokes, grew up like that. Nobody pressured me, just wanted to try it on my own.

I feel ya. I dont understand why a teenager dipping is assumed to be under pressure or following someone.

i really dont see how someone can get addicted to Tabacco products, dip has a buzz that last about 15 min and smoking just chokes you....first time i tried smoking i chocked and said it wasnt for me, first time i dipped the buzz was great but then that one strand went down my throat, Grizzly wintergreen,:puke: nothing special about dipping if u ask me
