I talked about creatine with my dad a lot when I started getting more serious about being in shape... (He's a M.D with a background in research biochem)
The principles behind it are pretty sound, adding to your body's creatine supply gives you more energy for that last push

with my experience with it (however limited it may be) has been pretty positive if you don't take too much of it in a cycle, and stick to cycles with it. loading it just causes you to hold more water.
When I started taking it, I would gain 5-8 lbs per cycle, but my weight would settle at 4-5 lbs once I lost the water weight. I definately saw improvements with strength.

I'm actually in the same boat as you now, trying to gain a little weight back but keeping my APFT (earlier posts in this thread) talked to some people, I'm starting a small supplement of kre-alkalyn with crossfit... next test is friday so we'll see how it goes

    Kre-alkalyn=no water retention or bloat.
Side note:take liver support with it

so its been about a year since i started lifting, ive learned sooo much. i think im really understanding how to work out and hoe to get big, before i couldnt squat, bench or do anything worth squat, in one year ive seen serious strength gains. keep in mind im a little guy...
    before and now
    bench-135 maybe 1x with help- 225 1x
    squat-around 135 a few times- im doing 275 8x
    deadlift- 225
    t-bar row- 200lbs 6x

i'm pretty proud of myself, i havent gained the weight ive wanted too, but i think that will come with time, also i used to over work my body by working out every single day, now im only in the gym 3-4 days a weel and maybe 45 mins at a time.

end of my story just thought i wanted to share since its been about a year:)

oh yeah ive learned a lot from you guys too, especially Aaron for being a long distance workout buddy (no homo) haha

any one ever try the ray lewis work out?

its pretty intense heres how it goes...

so u get a deck of cards, shuffle if u want... flip the first card and if its a 2-10 u do push ups for what ever number is on that card (ie. u pick a 6 u do 6 pushups)

for face cards you do 10 push ups if its an ace u do 25 and the joker u do 50

sounds easy right? well....do the deck once then shuffle and do it again but do it with sit-ups....trust me its a good way to get ripped quick, but when i would do the sit-ups i would do different ab workouts, not just sit-ups

I didn't quite do it like this, but I did do the deck of death. :D

I made each suit a different exercise and the number was how many times you do that exercise. For clubs I did 30 seconds of heavy bag work and for spades I did 30 second planks. Hearts was 16 lb wall balls and diamonds were push ups. Jokers I rested for 1 min.
