I own an american Tacoma and about 10 minutes ago I went to the dealership to see if I can get the TSB about the manifolds ticking looked at...They told me that the Canadian dealerships DO NOT cover american TSB's on american trucks...it would have to be a Canadian TSB. The whole thing sounds like BS to me but who am I to argue since I don't know if that is true. She told me that they would honour the warranty such as the powertrain warranty but as far as the TSB's go....sorry....so I left empty handed.

    So my question is:

Has any other Canadian with an american truck get any american TSB's done at a Canadian dealership??

I'm half tempted to take a trip to Buffalo and get these things done.

I have had TSB and other warranty work done...no real issues although I bring in the paperwork Re: TSB's ... in case they want to bs me! For example they tried to tell me that all Toyotas make that annoying brake squeel in the morning when reversing!!?? lol They felt pretty stupid when I showed them the TSB. The only thing is that some service managers want to hear or experience the problem before they will do the fix...which can be a pain. I would find another dealer or try bringing in the paperwork...they should honor it.

when i bought my truck it was out of warranty and i didnt buy the extended warranty and so far they have done one tsb for me, and will be doing another next week. i just take in the tsb and mention what is wrong and they seem to not hassle me about it. i've been very lucky with my dealer:D

I may drive the hour to Barrie to get some work done.
How many leafs did you have before the TSB. I already have four and the upgraded shocks, but pull a large trailer and carry alot of stuff, and I bottem out often and the back end of the truck is alot lower then the new 09s.
