Stepping back and being all "Shit, I'm awesome" is a great feeling.

driving by beaches and whatnot I always got paranoid about rust and salt...so I wash my truck every 2 weeks or so.

    know how you feeeeel!

Everyone calls me dumb for washing my WHITE truck days before its supposed to snow, I say if i dont wash it when its nice then it will just build up and be so ridiculously dirty it will start to eat the paint, They dont realize that salt on our Colorado roads eats your clear :)

I washed/waxed my truck an hour before going wheeling on a loose dirt/cinder trail, to go camping at the beach.

my mind set was the wax would protect the paint from the salt from the beach, everyone still thought I was overdoing things

I love washing my Super White too. White just looks so awesome and clean when it's all shined and pretty. My SW would look even better with that white grill surround of yours and you could have my Chrome grill. Hahem. yes.

I love washing my truck too, I just wish I was taller so I could reach the top of the cab and the very top center of my windshield easier!!!

Who cares what anyone else thinks. Its "your" truck and you like taking care of it and thats all that matters. People always ask why I wash my dirt bike before I put it away, its like my truck, I love my bike and like taking care of her!!:p

I washed and waxed mine yesterday too. Today after work I'm pulling the seats out and detailing the interior. Thank God for Weather Tech, I camp and hunt, my interior still looks brand new.

Same here man, I just fully detailed the truck 2 weeks ago, clay bar, polish and sealant (clay bar and polish was to remove stains, otherwise I wouldn't have done that before winter hit). Everyone thought it was dumb right before winter but you have to get a good coat of wax or sealant on before the salt comes! I love the looks of the superwhites when they're clean and shiney! :D

Some people may think I'm crazy for SUGGESTING this, as I thought it was a wild idea until I saw it done myself, but the Bounce brand dryer sheets (never tried another brand to compare) take bugs off the front like they are absolutely nothing!

Is it just me or does it seem like it is mostly the Super White owners that are nuts about cleaning there trucks.

I wash mine once a week, even if I know it is going to rain the following week.

This would be an interesting pole.

i chose silver to buy me time between washings...i hate washing my truck.

during hunting season (now), i never do. i am blasting down backroads, and climbing some gnarly stuff for months. the harder i use my truck, the less i have to hike. hehe.

i'll probably wash/wax it right before spring turkey season. maybe. i waxed it prior to hunting season this year, which is rare.

you guys must all be young! at one time I enjoyed washing and waxing a vehicle, especially when it was a brand new 425HP 427 "66" impala. now that I'm a little older, and have done it too many times, on multiple vehicles, for too many years, it's "WORK". don't worry, you'll get there too. and I still got the "66" and am still washing and waxing it, just not as often:burnrubber:
