I decided after only getting about 400kms per tank to try a few tanks or premium 91. I get about 500-525km now with premium. Anyone else notice the difference?

Yes, I was getting about 18 mpg with 87 octane, and switching to 93 octane gave me just over 21 mpg.

Most likely has to do with the ethanol. Around here, 93 octane does not contain ethanol and you dont get the same energy from E-10 (gas with a 10% ethanol blend) as you do from 100% gasoline.

Same between 89 and 91 for me.... 89 runs just as good I think.

i dont think the octane rating really matters with our trucks, i think it is mostly the ethanol that affects the mileage. i could be wrong though:D

I have tested this, and found, on average, about 2 mpg. better with 91 vs. 87.

not likely going to be a big difference since mid grade has 5% ethanol in it, would be a lil better than the 87 octane

Here in So Cal, 91 has ethanol also... like 10%

Thats probably y it all seems the same to me. I never ran 87 though and don't plan on it.
