Foodies BS Thread.

I cooked it as a roast beef..... It was cooking for 80 minutes. It was medium rare on the outside and rare on the inside.... Which is exactly how we like it. I also made a gravy which is going to be used for sandwiches maybe even open faced sandwiches tomorrow for my nephews pre birthday party dinner.

it was perfectly cooked not just the meat but the veggies were perfect. The parsnips smelled to house up nice and the were so tender and sweet.

 

Oh okay got yah! It looks great!!

 

I cooked a brisket today with my dad. Between this and washing the cars we got some awesome bonding time together. 2 13 pound briskets rubbed up with our special blend of spices slow cooked for about 8 hours with indirect charcoal heat and some apple wood chips thrown in for a nice sweet nutty tasting smoke flavor. The best thing is to cut up the burnt ends and suck on them like a fat dip.
Made a little sandwhich with it. Whole wheat bread with a touch of spicy brown mustard.




Soaked all night in it's juices and blood.

Now to work off all of that extra fat I had tonight I might do an extra 10 miles on the bike tomorrow.

haha havent touched one for a long time now! and i plan to keep it that way

but smoking food is great!

I need to modify mine still.. been busy doing other stuff. On a different note your meat looks delicious and moist (no homo)...did you use your own seasonings? or ???

mmm red meat + red wine yum!

it just hit me, you probably get more smoke than me!

ya'll have a breathing aparatus dontcha? or some sort of mask. is it required to be worn ALL the time (regardless the threat lvl of the fire)

 

Depending on what kind of fire it is and how intense it is burning, around 95% of the time we are on full SCBA's which include a full face mask and air pack. If its something like a dumpster fire or car fire that isnt very involved, depending on the location and wind direction, we dont always go on air. Especially once the fire is knocked down and we arent in a IDLH atmosphere we ususally go off air.

 

Dinner... sliced up chicken leg cooked in spicy bbq sauce with some mushrooms! all over a bed of baby spring mix! its super spicy!! i added alot of cayenne pepper
