I saw a Taco on here (can't locate it now or an article expressly discussing this) that had two D-rings mounted to the front of his Taco. It wasn't a part of an aftermarket bumper, but looked to be mounted directly to the undercarriage (one where the hook would normally be, and the other on the other side). Are they mounting them directly to existing holes underneath, or is there a little fabrication ro drilling going on here?

And is it better to have the d-rings up front versus the hooks?

Search "D ring mod". I've added four, and there nice. Very simple to do.

    Did you mean shackles instead?

Yes. Sorry, I thought they were called d rings, but yes, the shackles.

Yeah hes talking around the front end area. I thought he meant the bed as well at first. I also did the bed ring mod and I love it!

This may explain why I couldn't find anything under front mounted d rings.
