SoCal Tacoma LED Cluster Swap

How did you go about it? How did you remove shifter?

 

It's easy, don't wanna thread jack Jerez thread, but the shifter panel is held in by clips once you get one corner up the rest is easy. And once it all comes up the light is right there.

 

Thanks you aint thread jacking either, knowledge is best when shared! Did you use the #74 light from the superbright or something else?

 

LOl half the stuff in here is a bit away from clusters....carry on.

I used something else because I did some pilot lighting and had an extra led and saw that lil bulb and said what the heck. But it is a really small light that sits in there.

Yup, if you try that 74 light that I posted let me know if it works. I will try to find what I used and I'll post it up.

I used this, I just took the wire feeding that light and spliced it.

 

From what I remember someone telling me it is a 74 bulb...what I did was retro fit one of the 194 led bulbs I had and cut it out of it's plastic cover and stuck it into the small plug lol....it's super bright tho

 

An idea just came to my head for the shifter lights for led lighting....give me a couple of days to mess with it tho

I did 2 swaps this past weekend....one white with blue needles and the other blue with red needles, blue steering wheel controls, and blue clock with blue passenger side airbag leds

 

Nice. Bout how many extra LEDs do you order per cluster.
