i dont think theres a worse tire I used in my life then the stock Dunlops. When I swapped them for USED Bridgestone dueler ht 684 2's i was blown away what a difference, and those arnt really suppose to be that great. The MPG went way up because they glide 756 times better

New paint on the Uhaul/Valley hitch that came on the truck. The truck was put in service exactly 2 years ago so it's newer than that - and it had already lost about 30% of its paintable surface and rusted to high heaven. I had to knock off so much slag it was rediculous. Must have had a bad batch of metal. Two hours of sanding, the one coat of rust reformer (let dry), three coats of gloss black, and two coats of clearcoat = looks brand spankin new! Still don't trust it with bigger trailers but it should be fine with a 14' jon boat.

Did the $30 axle wrap mod too. Tried my best to get the paint to stick to that galvanized steel. Washed with diluted ammonia, sanded off the oxide layer, cleaned the dust off, and primed/painted with the same rustoleum that went on the hitch. Will see if it sticks thru winter.

I do gotta say I don't ever want to take those things off! It totally cured the problem of hard shifting in my truck. Apparently the oscillations of the rear axle when it is unloaded during a shift were keeping the hubs in the tranny from engaging the teeth, and why it needed a gradual shifting effort to get it into gear. So many complain about it resisting shifting if you try to go to fast, well this makes that disappear, even with the stock 75w85 or whatever Toyota puts in there from the factory.

Some say just use the U-bolts, but that lowers the truck a fraction of an inch. U-bolt + spring with rivet in "A"hole lifts rear end about an inch or so, enough to need readjustment of the headlamps.

I ended up buying the Stubby antenna... but, normally use my iPod for music and iHeartRadio for the rest of the time... I like the clean look of the antenna that short..

Removed front wheel bearing/hub, cleaned it, and greased.

    Bled power steering rack.

Drilled and tapped an additional mount for my bed bar/tire rack.

Ordered new tires from 4wheelparts (buy 3 get 1 free, last day is today).
