one thing is sure though, in snow, in my experience, the less-agressive trac in 4HI is better than A-TRAC.

Your so right, if I could do it again I would've bought a base model 4x4 open/open, stuck arb's front and rear, did the lift and armor and it would've saved me 4k in a garbage trd package!
Unless your going to stay mostly stock with no lift, trd is fine, but if you plan to lift do it this way. A-trac is no substute for F/R lockers!

    Wheel spin for the win!

Atrac is great on off camber but doesn't let you really use some skinny pedal. Tough to get momentum in sand and snow with atrac from what I've seen.

All 2010s? Or just the sport. I thought since they ditched the mechanical LSD and went with the trac like the base models it was the same axle as the base.

And I really look forward to wheeling with you again and Brandon. Big bear was a blast. Maybe we could all get together again and run John bull and Holcomb creek.

The wife and I went have gone to anza/ocotillo the past few weekends. We did doable drop off and some of the other stuff there. The highlight was exploring the mud caves. I think well be checking out calico soon too.

I will never forget how ATRAC messed me up on dunes at Pismo - forgot about that.

I don't know and you know the Toyota website would dare mention it! That's why I hope someone posts a picture of the insides of one!

We enjoyed a lot too. Sounds good!

Anza has SOOOOO much to offer in a chill sort of way! A great place to discover - largest state park in CA :)

I think the real question is " is it possible to see over the hoodscoop when off pavement " ?

Only if you have a tow package and it's still in tact.

Chubby chicks work pretty good. You just roll them over the tire thats losing tracion. Levels of traction = Fatrac>lockers>atrac
